WHAT HAPPENED TO SEPTEMBER ???

OMG,I wish we had time to stop to smell the roses!! We are planning renovations to our house, so we are running around looking at different products, getting quotes etc. Plus looking after Jardin,Ziggy on Mondays, Tobi & Sofi on Tuesdays, Evie on Thursday and Josh every 2nd weekend! I have done some gardening .. I almost needed a GPS to find my way to my front door, lol .. it has been so long since I pruned and weeded! Also caught up on the never ending ironing & washing! Now I have to find somewhere to store all the stuff emptied out of the bathroom, because the workmen are starting the renovations there tomorrow! Our old bathroom is bright red .. nice in the 70's .. not so nice now!! Our house was built in the early 70's, we were the 3rd owners, moving in early 1991. We spent 5 years renovating, but never got around to the bathroom .. we only use the ensuite bathroom anyway, so it stayed as it was through lack of interest, really! I am so excited and impatient to see the finished product! So, no looking after Jardin & Ziggy this week, and Tobi, Sofi and family are away on holidays for the next two weeks, Josh has just gone home; so the workmen will have no interruptions!! I will post some new photos of the kiddos, and then sign out, as I still have some work to do and they should be here early in the morning. Woo hoo !!!!! Will also post some before and after photos when the bathroom is finished. Night night!

TOBI & SOFI'S BIG DAY OUT

No kids this week!!

A child free week .. I can't remember the last time that has happened. Jardin & Ziggy's mum didn't have to work, and Tobi & Sofi's family are all down with the worst flu ever!!

I took advantage of this uninterrupted week to get stuck into my ironing (I was sooooo far behind), and catching up on some bill paying, and scanning into the computer.

At the moment, I have my sister Deb's wedding album, which I am scanning in and editing in PSE 9 - I don't know where all those little specks etc come from .. they just magically appear on photos!! I am in the process of making a hard cover photo book covering all our immediate families .. starting with my mum and dad. We do not have a lot of relatives .. Dad's are all in England and I have never had any contact with that side of the family, and I only ever knew my grandmother & grandfather from my mother's side. Mum only had two brothers, and we just don't seem to be a close family. No rifts, just indifference, I think! I seem to be the only one who feels this lack of family history .. maybe that is because I don't have children of my own??? So anyway, I am compiling a photo book from my grandparents on down to current day .. hopefully, some family member from far in the future might find it interesting!!

Well, tomorrow evening will be spent at my sister Debbie's place for a family catch up .. my niece Melissa and her husband and two children are coming over from interstate to attend one of Melissa's old friend's wedding, so it is just a weekend visit. I am really looking forward to catching up, as we only see each other infrequently .. only met her son for the first time last Xmas, when he was 18 months old... so cute!!

It is now 1.30am, so I am off to bed .. full day planned tomorrow cleaning the house ... oh well, someone has to do it, and the housecleaning fairy never seems to find my place!!

These are photos of my little munchkins I look after 1-2 days a week, Tobi & Sofi. Tobi just started full day Kindy .. I really miss him during the day!! He used to chatter to me all day long!! It will be very interesting to see how Sofi progresses .. I'm looking forward to the one on one time with her .. she is two going on 22!

IT'S ABOUT TIME I DID SOMETHING WITH THIS BLOG!!

Hi All,

Well, I started this blog quite some time ago and then life got in the way, and I forgot about it most of the time.

So, now I am going to try to do something here .. nothing spectacular, just a few random ramblings about what I get up to and showing some photos of my gorgeous children in my life!! I do tend to dribble on about my kiddos, my husband and I never had children (long story, but this was not our choice!!). We both love kids, and are very blessed to have so many in our lives. The main ones are:

Josh, my youngest sister's son (Sue & her husband Neil)

Jardin & Ziggy, my great nephews .. sons of my nephew Scott & wife Irma,

Jaxon, Scharlee & Evie .. children of our ex neighbours, who were like family to us - we were extremely distraught when they had to move, as they were renting the house next door .. however, they have not moved too far away, but due to conflicting schedules we don't get to catch up anywhere near as often as we would like!

Tobi & Sofi - children of some friends who I look after 1-2 days a week

I am not an intellectual person, not dumb but not super smart either - I have been retired for about 5 years, semi retired for about 5 years prior to that. I was born in the early 1950's, the middle child of 5 girls (omg!!). We were pretty poor, but never lacked food on the table .. just no money for extras!! We got presents on our birthday and christmas .. nothing in between!!

I didn't get married until 5 days short of my 34th birthday, and have been married to Ashley for about 23 years. Ashley is the middle child of 5 boys (omg again!!).

So, that is a quick intro of myself and hopefully, I will be a bit more diligent about posting in the future. If anyone visits, please say hi ... I don't bite!!! lol
